DreamWorks Animation and Pearl Studio’s co-production Abominable takes audiences on an epic 2,000-mile adventure from the streets of Shanghai to the breathtaking Himalayan snowscapes.
When teenage Yi (Chloe Bennet, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) encounters a young Yeti on the roof of her apartment building in Shanghai, she and her mischievous friends, Jin (Tenzing Norgay Trainor) and Peng (Albert Tsai), name him “Everest” and embark on an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his family at the highest point on Earth.
But the trio of friends will have to stay one-step ahead of Burnish (Eddie Izzard), a wealthy man intent on capturing a Yeti, and zoologist Dr. Zara (Sarah Paulson) to help Everest get home.
Abominable is written and directed by Jill Culton (Open Season, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 2) and is produced by Suzanne Buirgy (Kung Fu Panda 2, Home). Peilin Chou of Pearl Studio also produces. The film is executive produced by Tim Johnson (Over the Hedge, Home, ANTZ) and is co-directed by Todd Wilderman (Trolls, The Croods).
Abominable will be released by Universal Pictures worldwide beginning September 27, 2019.

Mark Borchardt is a visiting water scientist from the United States Department of Agriculture and he has been shocked by the state of New Zealand’s fresh water.
He came to New Zealand with the impression that it was clean and green but instead has found dirty water.
He has been working in areas in New Zealand that are known to have problems with the water caused by the dairy industry and he describes the quality as very poor.
“Unfortunately where I live we have water that we can’t swim in, I see that also in New Zealand, you have rivers that you can’t swim in.”
Dr Borchardt said New Zealand has a lot of similarities with Wisconsin, his home state, in the level of water contamination related to agriculture.
He has investigated this extensively and said that the expansion of dairy herds and concentration of the animals in this country is what is being experienced in Wisconsin.

This week the International Space Station has achieved a huge milestone by completing 100,000th orbit of the Earth.
The ISS was first launched into space in 1998 and has been circling the globe ever since.
It takes the spacecraft around an hour and a half to go right around the Earth.
In total it has traveled more than 2.6 billion miles, that’s around the distance of ten round trips from Earth to Mars!
Currently there are six people living on board the ISS.
Check out the cool video below about the ISS.
Isn’t this the cutest hedgehog ever?
Going by the name of Huff (his full name is Sir Hodge Huffington), the three-year-old African Pygmy is making making headlines for his cute “fangs”.
Huff’s owner, Carolyn Parker, said he was a rescue hedgehog.
The Utah student started taking pictures of Huff, and started sharing them on Instagram.
Creating the Instagram account in February, Huff already has over 15, 000 followers.
As for his sharp teeth, Parker says “all hedgehogs have little sharp teeth like Huff”.
“It seems his may be a little more pronounced, but for the most part I just try to get pictures that show off that cute feature.”
